Hato-Sable (Pigion shape Sable)

That's one of my favorite cookie. Thanks Caz, my best friend who went to Kamakura a few weeks ago gave me a bag that contained 5 cockies when we met up with other 2 girls for dinner on Tuesday night. This sable is very faimous in Tokyo region and if you ask someone what Kamakura is like, they'll say "Hato-Saburei(Sable)". I don't know its popurarity spreads all over Japan. I insist that whenever you go to Kamakura, you MUST buy one, 2 bags at least. Then enjoy its lovely looks-like-pigion shape with your friend or on you own and eat. No matter which you start eating from, head or tail, whichever you like. BUT I love biting from head.

You can buy Hato-Sable at Toshima-ya, around Kamakura Station or some famous department stores in Kanagawa.
