The day of eating Unagi(eel).


As one of Japanese custom, we eat Unagi (eel) in the summer to beat the heat. It is determined by an ancient calender that traditionally was considered the hottest of the season has been lasting as an effective way to beat the heat. Lots of eels were consumed by Japanese today. An attached picture is one of the traditional Unagi dish named Unagi-no-Kabayaki with rice and sweet special Kabayaki source.
