Spring has come!!

It was really warm today and it appears spring has come. My boss has a hay fever so he looks terrible with this fact and then always wishs the spring passed through right away. I am pity for him but I am glad I didn't get the hay fever this year too.

Congratulations! Spirited Away in Animated Feature Film - Academy Awards

It's good news for Japanese that a very famous film Spirited Away has got the Oscor in the 75th Academy Awards.
In fact, I was wondering why it was nominated, as its story is quite complicated for not only Japanese but also other people who never know Japan and whether or not people understood there was a message behind the story. Actually everybody can enjoy with it, because the picture is vivid and clear and there are a lot of lovey charactors in it. I like one of charactors named "Makkuro Kurosuke" that also appeared in my favorite film "My neighbor TOTORO". Makkuro Kurosuke are little black creatures which live in dark place. I though Miyazaki wanted to express they were like dusts or something when I saw them first in TOTORO, but I realized it must have been just darkness. He tried to tell the kids who were scared of darkness with the lovey charactor that the darkeness was not scary, just loads of Makkuro Kurosuke were there and would be helping you as they did for Chihiro.
Spirit Away will be released at more than 100 theater in the US, according to the news.
Lastly, I am letting you know a wonderland like a place Chihiro worked for in Spirited Away. If you have a chance to come to Tokyo, please visite it. I bet you will certainly enjoy with it. (sorry, I couldnot find out a English version.)
